Bandai's Tamashii Nation 2014 commecial hero

Like Local heroes, enterprises and companies in Japan sometimes also need their own Tokusatsu hero-like mascot, a commercial hero (商業ヒーロー, Shōgyō Hīrō) to promote the services, products and fame.

In Showa era, some tokusatsu like Toshiba's Kousoku Esper and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company's Super Robot Red Baron, the heroes of these shows are also their commercial hero since the main sponsors have the right to use the characters.

List of Notable Commercial Heroes[]

  • Hayabusa (): A vaccum-themed hero created by Tsuburaya Productions for a 1980s vaccum brand.
  • Overtime Hero Stride (超時間ヒーロー ストライド, Chōjikan Hīrō Sutoraido): A team of heroes that fight with bad breath. It features Stride All Day (blue), Stride Endless (green), Stride Unlimited (pink) and Stride Everlasting (yellow). They are designed by Yutaka Izubuchi in 2012.
  • Varsan Man (バルサンマン, Barusanman): An insecticide hero who is killing cockroaches. The suit was made by Rainbow Zoukei in 2011.
  • Daiwaman (ダイワマン, Daiiwaman): A hero family that promote safe building. It features Daiwaman (son), Daiwawoman (mother) and Daiwaman X (father).
  • Minimini Man (ミニミニマン, Miniminiman): A hero of real estate agency, he was originally an animated mascot until 2010.
  • UFO Kamen Yakiso Boy (U.F.O.仮面ヤキソボーイ, UFO Kamen Yakiso Bōi): A hero using the power of instant noodles to fight.
  • Kansenger (カンセンジャー, Kansenjā): A hero of Shinkansen railway safety.
  • JD Car Taste Squadron (京东车品战队): A team of hero for JD.com in China debut in 2018.
