Character History[]
Guan Yu was the Hero Piece given to Liu Bei by the angel Xu Shu. Upon forming the contract he had to convince Liu Bei not to quit the Dream Battle. He was touched and impressed by his Lord's desire to help others. He tries to help his lord in and out of battle, coaching him in the rules of the battle and acting as moral support. He also serves as the pilot of the Dragon Cannon Legend Machine.
Personality[]
Guan Yu is a strong and honorable warrior, who would willingly give his life for his lord and later his comrades. He is somewhat formal and has trouble calling his lord his brother or bro. He has a great deal of pride in his abilities, and respects other Hero Pieces who have a strong fighting spirit. He does not respect and openly condemns Legend Heroes and Hero Pieces who use underhanded tactics.

Guan Yu combines with Liu Bei to become Legend Hero Guan Yu. Initially, their strong bond makes up for Liu Bei's weak body and skills. As the series goes on, both Liu Bei's body and skill improve resulting in their power becoming greater. After transforming, Guan Yu can be put into the Dragon Blade to increase its power in both modes.

Like all Hero Pieces, Guan Yu is sustained by the strength of his lord's dream and his willingness to fight for that dream. If his lord's will waivers or his dream is not strong enough, Guan Yu loses his strength, resulting in not only their combined form losing power, but also rendering them unable to combine at all or even Guan Yu starving to death. If his lord is defeated, Guan Yu will also be destroyed unless he makes a new contract with a new lord.
