Japan World Heroes Convention logo

Japan World Heroes is a California-based convention created by Power MorphiconIcon-crosswiki showrunner Scott Zillner.[1] The convention centers around tokusatsu superheroes, making it one of the first of its kind in the USA dedicated solely to such a theme. The convention features cosplay, Japanese toy vendors, art and collectibles as well as a chance for fans to meet some of thier favorite actors or suit actors or other special guests.

In an interview, Zillner said he wanted to do this convention as there is a bigger world of heroes than just Power Rangers and wishes to celebrate it by inviting guests from Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Metal Heroes, Ultraman, Godzilla and many more. The first convention was in Pasadena, California at the Pasadena Convention Center on August 26, 2017 and ran until the following day. The second convention was on August 16 to August 19, 2019, once again taking place in Pasadena, Califorina at the Pasadena Convention Center.[2] A third convention has been announced on the offical convention Facebook page for 2021, but details of its date and location are unknown at this time.
