Kaiju(in Japanese meaning "strange beast") are giant monsters commonly used in Tokusatsu. Notable examples are Godzilla as well as the monsters in Ultraman.
- Other kaiju are the Megabeasts from Kyojuu Tokosou Juspion and the Makamou from Kamen Rider Hibiki.
- Human-sized kaiju are called kaijin or monsters.
