Plot
The film begins when a massive fleet of spaceships from the video game Xevious launches an attack on Seoul. The Kyurangers appear at the scene to face the enemies, but to no avail. Meanwhile in Japan, Amu is hospitalized in critical condition, but despite not having a human constitution, she is saved with a successful operation by Hiiro. Upon awakening, Amu reveals that she was also fighting the Xevious Armada who attacked and destroyed Zyuland before collapsing, and Poppy concludes that its appearance is the result of a portal opened between the Game and real worlds.
Suspicious about Poppy as she is also a being from the Game World, the Kyurangers attempt to capture her, but Emu, Hiiro and Taiga stand to defend her. The battle between the Riders and the Kyurangers is interrupted when the city is attacked by another group of game ships, this time from the arcade game Galaxian, which is repelled by several Riders and Sentai appearing from another game, "Chou Super Hero Taisen", including an alternate version of Hiiro and the now deceased Kiriya Kujo. Back at CR, Poppy decides to enter the world of Chou Super Hero Taisen and enlist the help of the heroes there to fight the invaders, and Amu decides to accompany her. Once in the game, they meet a mysterious boy who flees, and Amu is attacked by Kamen Riders Stronger and Amazon, just to be rescued by Utsusemimaru, who takes them to the Alternate Hiiro who agrees to help them if Emu manages to clear the game, which is a tournament between teams of five heroes.
As Emu enters the tournament as part of "Team Ex-Aid", including himself, Momotaros, Yakumo Kato, Masato Jin and Shuichi Kitaoka, Poppy reveals to Hiiro that she investigated the identity of the mysterious boy with help from Balance and Naga Ray, discovering that his name is Eight Kirino, a genius programmer with a mysterious lack of emotions who once was his patient. Hiiro then reveals that he indeed was his doctor, but he decided to not treat the boy after he refused his assistance. He also reveals that Eight was the main programmer of Chou Super Hero Taisen who disappeared mysteriously after the game is completed. Once knowing this, Emu approaches Eight, promising to find a way for him to return to the real world.
The tournament ends with Team Ex-Aid's victory, the members receiving the powers of all the Sentai and Riders in history to transform into the Goriders, and using their new power to destroy the Xevious Armada for good. However, this triggers Chou Super Hero Taisen's bonus stage, materializing several villains who were defeated by the Kamen Riders and Super Sentai, led by a man who calls himself "Shocker Leader III", who proceeds to destroy the world. Emu then returns to the game, where the Alternate Hiiro explains that as he failed to send Eight back to the Human world, he decided to transform the Real World into the Game world instead by destroying it, revealing that he and Eight manipulated the events so far, leading to the current situation.
While Taiga, Parado and the Zyuohgers confront the villains in the real world, Emu, Hiiro, Poppy and Naga chase after Eight inside the game. While Emu faces several Riders on his way, including Kamen Riders Amazon Omega, Amazon Alpha and Amazon Neo, Hiiro confronts and defeats his other self, who entrusts him with some items from the game and asks him to watch over Eight before he disappears. When Naga and Poppy reach Eight, Naga attempts to convince Eight to concede to no avail, until Hiiro and Emu arrive, and Hiiro decides to sever the connection between both worlds to stop the enemy invasion and restore the cities and civilians they destroyed, but trapping Eight inside, much to Emu's dismay. After the other villains are defeated with the help of the items provided by the Alternate Hiiro, the Shocker Leader summons a spaceship from Jark Matter that transforms into a massive robot. In response, Lucky uses the Futago Kyutama to duplicate himself and the Shishi Voyager to form two Kyurenohs, while Ex-Aid uses a Giant Energy Item provided by Hiiro to enlarge himself, and together, Ex-Aid and the Kyurangers destroy the enemy in a combined effort.
After the battle, Hiiro convinces Eight to use his own willpower to escape from the Game World back to the human world, as he did not sever the connection between the worlds completely, leaving a gap for the boy to return. Emu then apologizes to Hiiro for doubting him and the Kyurangers bid farewell to Emu and the others before returning to space.
Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger: This movie fits in within the Zyuohgers' continuity, as this movie should take place after the end of the TV series and any specials. Amu mentions the destruction of Zyuland, but this takes place off-screen and the movie never acknowledges what she meant by these words.
The first 15 second TV spot for Chou Super Hero Taisen accompanied the broadcast of Super Hero Time on January 29, 2017 (Zyuohger 47/Ex-Aid 16). It was narrated by Momotaros (Toshihiko Seki) who announced his appearance in the movie.
The sixth 15 second TV spot for Chou Super Hero Taisen accompanied the broadcast of Super Hero Time on March 5, 2017 (Kyuranger 4/Ex-Aid 21). It was narrated by Lucky (Takumi Kizu) who announced that the Super Sentai would be teaming up with the strongest Kamen Riders as Riders and Rangers meet each other.
Bouken Pink's name was wrongly typed as "Pink Racer" (ピンクレーサー,Pinku Rēsā) in the second trailer.
It is not explicitly mentioned how the Kyurangers got into the prime universe, nor they show any reaction to being in a different Earth. However, it is still acknowledged that the Jark Matter come from a separate dimension and are unknown to the people from the main world.
When Ex-Aid, Brave, and Snipe transform in front of the Kyurangers, the "I'm a Kamen Rider" sound is played even though they transformed straight into their Level 2 forms. Conversely, Brave and Snipe's Level 2 transformation sounds are not played.
Emu never says 'Dai-Henshin' when transforming into Ex-Aid Level 2.
When transforming into Zolda, Kitaoka's V-Buckle is already present before he even raises his Advent Deck.
Poppy seems to know all about the Chou Super Hero Taisen game despite having no connection with it.
It is not known how the Riders from CR and the Kyurangers would immediately recognise each other as belonging to their respective hero factions (Kamen Riders and Super Sentai), as prior to this, the Kyurangers have not encountered any other Kamen Riders and Super Sentai teams, while this is the gamer Riders' first full encounter with a full Sentai team, as Ex-Aid had already met a few of his predecessor Riders before.
When Brave transforms into Beat Quest Gamer Level 3, the Gamer Driver sounds plays before Brave brings out the DoReMiFa Beat Gashat.
When Naga paralyzes Haima, the eye seal does not appear in front of Haima.
Throughout the movie, Utsusemimaru/Kyoryu Gold wields the GabuGabuChanger and Pteravolton Zyudenchi used by Brave Kyoryu Gold in Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Brave instead of the Gaburichanger and Pteragordon Zyudenchi from his own series. As such, he technically transforms into Brave Kyoryu Gold, complete with his counterpart's transformation sound effects as well.
When Brave Fantasy Gamer Level 50 finishes off True Brave, the "Critical Slash" sound is played the second time when Brave finishes him off.
The sound for the Futago Kyutama is played before Shishi Red puts it into his Seiza Blaster.
This is the final Super Hero Taisen Movie, as Shinichiro Shirakura revealed in a press release tweet for Heisei Generations FINAL that the Taisen series would end to pursue more "interesting" projects such as a Kamen Rider Amazons film in spring 2018.[2]
Kamen Rider
It is the first time "remake" Riders (Kamen Riders Amazon Alpha, Amazon Omega, Kamen Rider Amazon Neo) appear in a crossover.
Ryotaro Nogami was mentioned by Momotaros when he mistakenly call out his host name to Emu.
Goro was also mentioned by Kitaoka when he mistakenly calls Momotaros by that name.
Despite that Den-O Gun Form is in this movie, he is the only Den-O character to not be voiced by his original voice actor, while the other three Taros have their original actors reprising their roles.
Unlike Heisei Generations, Poppy's voice does not have a reverberation filter added onto it.
In promotional photos, Snipe is seen wielding the Gashacon Magnum. But in the movie, he does not wield it at all.
As the film was released before the premiere of Power Rangers Dino Force Brave, both Raimein and Brave Gold Dino's GabuGabuChanger made their theatrical debut.
