Kenji Kubo is an assistant of Kaito in Shishido Heavy Industries. He is a honest but funny guy. He was initially a villain who wore a black version of the GAION armor. As Black GAION, Kenji was the primary enemy of Lighting GAION until he was defeated and then Kenji used his armor and powers for good. Kenji fell in love with Mari Tachibana and has developed a friendly rivalry with Takeru Yamato.
