Kobu Banbara (コブバンバラ lit. "Lump Banbara") is a newcomer with a grotesque face reminiscent of Quasimodo from The Hunchback of Notre-Dame and a dome-shaped hump. He always wears an arm equipped with a crescent-shaped claw, which can be removed if needed.
He has the ability to spew foam from his mouth that petrifies humans and create gusts of wind capable of collapsing buildings using propellers stored in his hump. At the beginning, several buildings collapsed due to gusts of wind without Kobu Banbara personally appearing, suggesting he may have other methods of creating gusts of wind.
He can also turn invisible and use telekinesis. His durability is ambiguous, as he shows no fear when facing attacks like Pit's throws but sustains damage from a spear in Dr. Fujinami's house, leaving his resilience uncertain.
History[]
To enhance the gusts of wind, Kobu Banbara had Dr. Fujinami develop the Banba Bacteria. However, Dr. Fujinami, fearing the plan, escaped with the bacteria and was protected by Goro Watari. Consequently, Kobu Banbara launched a pursuit.
Interrupted by Sanagiman at Dr. Fujinami's house, Kobu Banbara trailed Watari and the doctor as they attempted to hide the bacteria. They ambushed Dr. Fujinami again, only to find out the bacteria he carried were fake. To obtain the real bacteria, they kidnapped Dr. Fujinami's daughter, Rumi Fujinami, along with a stuffed animal. Unbeknownst to them, the real Banba Bacteria were hidden inside the stuffed animal. Upon realizing this, Kobu Banbara consumed the bacteria and attempted to bury Inazuman under a collapsing building with his gusts of wind. However, Inazuman prevented the building from collapsing with the Reverse Chest and Muffler Inazuma Run, and Kobu Banbara ultimately exploded under the Inazuma Fist Technique and electric shock.
Nevertheless, Emperor Banba's words echoed afterward: "Kobu Banbara may have fallen, but there are countless Neo-Humans! Remember that, Inazuman!" - a testament to his unwavering determination.
Sonosheet version[]
Kobu Banbara hijacks a jumbo jet with the intention of crashing it into Tokyo as a terrorist act. However, Inazuman intercepts the radio transmission and intervenes. Inazuman proposes a fair one-on-one fight, which Kobu Banbara readily accepts.
Using air currents, Kobu Banbara attempts to neutralize Inazuma Typhoon and fires heat rays from his head, but they have no effect. He falls victim to Inazuma Shock's counterattack and ultimately crashes into the Pacific Ocean.
