Matsuko Kadowaki (門脇 松子, Kadowaki Matsuko) is the deuteragonist and antiheroine of Girl Gun Lady.

Character History

Matsuko was an old friend of Koharu Tachibana who used to build models with her before she mysteriously lost interest. She later joined Girl Gun Fight as a player not long after Koharu and becomes the second-in-command of Bravo Tango.

It was later revealed that Matsuko was really Amatsu (アマツ, Amatsu), Alpha Tango's previous Lady Commander who participated in the previous Girl Gun Fight tournament and won, becoming a human in the real world while having her team members sacrificed as a result.

Eventually, Amatsu lost her human form after Koharu defeated the Antique Shop Owner as the game master of the tournament and destroyed Girl Gun System. She, as a plastic model, was then given to her team, who were revived and brought back to existence.

Personality

As Lady Commander Amatsu, she is a benevolent commander who cares about the players under her command and tries to keep them alive as much as she could. She is rumored to be Alice's sister due to her identical appearance.

After her team got sacrificed and she became Matsuko, she became somewhat of a cynic, believing the world to be "just another plastic model": everything, including her bonds between friends and family, was fake. She even tells her Lady Commander, Bianca, that being human is not that better than being a plastic model.

Etymology

• As with the naming scheme of the members of Bravo Tango, her name, Matsuko, contains the kanji "Matsu" (松) meaning "pine".
• The name "Matsuko" might be a rearranging of her Lady Commander name of "Amatsu".
