Mieko is the anime incarnation of Bijinder adapted from the manga, she first appeared in the OVA Kikaider 01: The Animation. Initially she is an enemy, working for SHADOW to defeat Jiro. But after their defeat, her psychic connection to her sister unit Rieko causes her to side with Jiro and the others. However, after being reprogramed, Meiko acted on Reiko's need to get Akira to safety and succeeded before shutting down from a fatal wound.
