Mighty Guardian (Chiến Thần) is a Vietnamese tokusatsu-based franchise inspired by Metal Heroes
, Super Sentai, Ultraman and Kamen Rider. It is a television programs and films created by TRANSFILM - a filming studio was found by Transform Studio and Dive Into Eden group.
The various Mighty Guardian media generally feature a colorful-armored superhero with a varying motif who fights supervillains such as monsters or even superhuman. The franchise was planned to start filming in 2020 with the first season Mighty Guardian: Lost Avian (Chiến Thần Lạc Hồng) - a television drama series which followed high school student Trung Quan Nguyen and his quest to defeat the Vietnamese Mythologies' monsters and to discover the truths of this world.
Series overview
Although each entry in the series is different, each one shares similar traits with one and another. All generally involve at least two young adults transforming into the Mighty Guardians to fight various monsters and organizations linked to those specific Mighty Guardians' origins. As the series progresses, the Guardians often learns more about the monsters in the series, other Mighty Guardians or the origins of their powers. Usually referred to as Holy Souls, mascots/robots are an integral part of the series.
A trait shared among recent Mighty Guardians is their ability to change forms and become stronger versions of themselves and the teaming moments. Whereas all main protagonists fought on the side of justice and peace, there have been numerous Mighty Guardians that have fought for personal reasons such as greed, revenge and the personal enjoyment of battle.
The one thing that all Mighty Guardians have in common is the fact that their series are all linked to the "Agnostic Myth of the Agnoyed".

Combat techniques generally remain somewhat consistent between series. The "Slash and Shut" has confirmed as the signature attack for the main Mighty Guardians - it has been a staple for every seasons.
Pre-Annoucement
Before the official announcement, The Golden Armor Warrior (Chiến Binh Giáp Vàng) - a project of Transform Studio was announced in 2017. The CEO of this company - Duc Muoi Do (Đỗ Đức Mười), is a huge fan of Toei's Kamen Rider Series (especially Kamen Rider Ryuki) and wants to create a "Vietnamese version of Kamen Rider". He planned to use the Vietnamese Bronze Drums and Vietnamese Mythologies as the main hero's motif. Then he met and invited Minh Long Pham (Phạm Minh Long) - the leader of Dive Into Eden group (also a huge fan of Kamen Rider and Super Sentai series) to join together and they'd designed their first heroes named the "Lac" Guardian (Chiến Binh chim Lạc), the Alpine Guardian (Chiến Binh Sơn Tinh) and the Aqua Guardian (Chiến Binh Thuỷ Tinh). However, at that time their skills, knowledges and conditions weren't enough for them to continue the project so they have to postpone.
In early 2019, Duc Muoi Do had a meeting with Minh Long Pham again to re-new the project, with several of the Guardians' old designs. After many agurments, they decided to name the series as Mighty Guardian: Lost Avian. A Twitter artist - Hijiri-11, had also joined at May, 2019. They'd found TRANSFILM together after that.
Minh Long Pham then suggested Duc Muoi Do to not only make one season, otherwise, a Mighty Guardian franchise. Long and his team Dive Into Eden - together with Hijiri-11, had provided many ideas to Mighty Guardians' designs, scripts, actors, "Kamen Rider and Super Sentai elements", future plans and filming staffs. Finally, Mighty Guardian Series was born.

Similar features
All of the Mighty Guardian Series share the similar features - according to what the fanpage had announced:
- The main protagonist Guardians must transform with devices called "... Corpse" ("... Thể") - which was put right front of their left chests (hearts). And their first weapons are always melees.
- The second Guardians are always called as the "Compensating Guardians" (Tương Trợ Chiến Thần) and transform with devices those were used with their hands. They have to be the important parts of the storylines and the main protagonists' developments.
- The Mighty Guardians' helmets' visions aren't separated into sections.
- Their transformation call is "Summon Armor" ("Thiết Triệu"). They also have the similar final skills and could change between several forms - just like Kamen Rider. Besides, each season will have more than three Guardians to build up a team, and the main characters are going to have their own mascots/robots known as Holy Souls - just like Super Sentai.
- The franchise must take place in the same omniverse - the Mighty Guardian's Omniverse, and must be related/linked with each other and linked with Dive Into Eden group's Mythology - "Agnostic Myth of the Agnoyed".
