Produced by TRANSFILM and designed by Dive Into Eden group, Mighty Guardian announced on July 1, 2019. Initially intended to be an adaptation of their Super Sentais and Kamen Riders' fan-fictions, Dive Into Eden redesigned the main character to resemble the legendary "Lac" bird of Vietnam, supposedly chosen by Duc Muoi Do (Đỗ Đức Mười). The hero Trung Quan Nguyen (Nguyễn Trung Quân), portrayed by actor Hoang Anh Nguyen (Nguyễn Hoàng Anh), was described as a typical Chosen One type of character.

According to Hijiri-11's painting, there will be 10 seasons in this era.
