Shadow Golem

Shadow Golem (シャドウゴーレム, Shadou Gōremu) is a member of the SHADOW Murder Squad that appears in Kikaider 01.

History

While in his human form and in the process of abducting Akira, Shadow Golem is confronted by Jiro, and they engage in battle in his transformed state as a monster. Along the way, Shadow Man, accompanied by Shadow Mummy, joins in, and they team up against Kikaider, putting him at a disadvantage. However, 01 comes to the rescue. Shadow Mummy launches a nitro bomb, causing a temporary retreat.

Later, Big Shadow executed a plan to hijack a bomber equipped with a hydrogen bomb that was scheduled for testing, intending to trigger a nuclear war and gain control over the world without the need to create the Giant Devil.

The secret key to unlocking the design plans of the Giant Devil, which Shadow Mummy had captured, was imprinted within two people - Rieko being one of them. As they headed towards the prison, Rieko managed to seize the opportunity, taking the nitro bomb she was carrying and using it as a threat to escape the base.

Chasing after her, Shadow Golem force her to exhaust her supply of nitro bombs, capturing her. However, Ichiro arrives and engages in a fight, followed by Jiro, and both of them undergo a transformation. Instantly, as if to deceive the eyes of Double Kikaider, he retreat once again with Shadow Mummy, successfully buying time for their plan.

With Shadow Mummy, he confront Ichiro and Misao as they head to search for Hiroshi and Misao, engaging in another battle at Namegawa Island. Shadow Golem moved to the quarry and unleashed the Hell Beam on 01, but it's evaded. Ultimately, he explode before Shadow Mummy, defeated by Blast End. The bomber was thwarted by Kikaider.

Shadow Golem is a SHADOW Robot modeled after a golem. Working in conjunction with Shadow Mummy, his task is to capture Akira and Hiroshi. He emits Hell Beam (地獄光線, Jigoku Kōsen) from the fan portion of the device located on his chest, capable of paralyzing or attacking opponents. He can transform into a human form and disguise himself as a middle-aged man wearing sunglasses.
