
TV Asahi (テレビ朝日, Terebi Asahi), formerly known as NET TV (NETテレビ, Netto Terebi) from 1957 to 1977, is a Japanese broadcasting network which broadcast to the Kanto Area of Japan.
Currently it produce and airs the Super Hero Time programming block, consisting of the Toei tokusatsu superhero franchises Kamen Rider Series and Super Sentai Series
, on Sunday mornings. The Super Hero Time branding officially began in 2003 while the two franchises started airing together in 2000 with the start of the Heisei Kamen Rider Series
.
Super Sentai has always aired on TV Asahi since it started with Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, back when the channel was still known as NET. The Showa Kamen Rider Series
however was less consistent with what channel it aired on. TV Asahi also aired the Metal Hero Series
starting from 1982 until its retirement in 1999.
