Wicked Rooster (Quỷ Kê Tinh, Gà Tinh, or Ma Gà) is one of the ancient monsters featured in the Mighty Guardian: Lost Avian series.

Legend has it that in the mortal realm, creatures, upon reaching a certain lifespan or being subjected to the intervention of an external evil force, will gradually transform into [Tinh]. However, there are also special cases, when the lingering souls of creatures harbor resentment that is too deep and heavy, they gather and self-form into grotesque entities—and that is precisely the origin of Quỷ Kê Tinh. From the dawn of time, when humankind began to worship and offer sacrifices to deities, chickens became one of the most common sacrificial offerings. Precisely because they absorbed too much spiritual energy from the earth and sky from ancient sacrificial ceremonies, their lingering souls did not dissipate but gradually accumulated, transforming into resentment. Over time, that resentment materialized, forming a bizarre and terrifying creature called Wicked Rooster (Quỷ Kê Tinh). It hunts humans to use as sacrificial offerings as a way to reenact ancient rituals in a twisted, eerie manner. No one knows clearly what or whom the rituals performed by Wicked Rooster are for, only that the unfortunate victims all have their innards and eyes removed, all taking place within a blood-stained octagonal formation—like a savage ritual of revenge against humankind for offering their lives in the past. Even to this day, the image of Quỷ Kê Tinh remains haunting in the minds of the people in the highlands—a fear passed down through generations that cannot be explained by common sense. From that dread, sorcerers and shamans practicing evil magic have relied on this legend to create a bizarre and unsettling type of talisman for guarding treasures, called "Ma Ga" (Ma Gà). It is rumored that "Ma Ga" not only wards precious objects but can also summon the spirit of Wicked Rooster to be commanded in exchange for wealth but at the cost of one's own fortune. |

Wicked Rooster performing the ritual
The Wicked Rooster initially appeared by ambushing an unsuspecting young man, viciously mutilating him and scavenging his insides and eyes. Over the next couple of days, the Rooster continued committing horrific assaults on several people, each time in an octagonal formation. The police created a rapid-response team to catch the creature, and one night the Wicked Rooster was in the midst of a ritual when Quan and Han intervened. Han quickly called the Rapid-response team to the scene, however, Wicked Rooster defeated all of them swiftly. Once the Rooster finished its spree, it was confronted by Mighty Guardian Lost Avian[2].
Barely alive after being stabbed in the chest by Mighty Guardian[3], Wicked Cobra promptly teleported in and took the Rooster away and brought the monstrous chicken back to life[4]. It fought Mighty Guardian once again but was finally killed[5].

- Combat Skills: The Wicked Rooster has shown to go toe-to-toe against Mighty Guardian Lost Avian twice, even briefly gained the upper hand against Mighty Guardian when he was weakened. It also demonstrated tactical thinking by removing light sources and picking off each rapid-response team member one at a time in the dark.
- Large Wings: The Wicked Rooster can flap its wings to extinguish fire from torches or hurl dark mist at the opponent.
- Sharp Claws: The Wicked Rooster has sharp claws on its hands and feet that it uses to strike its opponents. It also appears to have spurs on its legs.
- Superhuman Durability: The Wicked Rooster's body is durable enough to withstand handgun fire without a single scratch.
- Superhuman Strength: The Wicked Rooster possesses superhuman strength, capable of taking out rapid-response team members from the police force with a single hit.

- Wicked Rooster (Ma Gà) is a real-life folklore in Vietnam's highlands. They are not actual chickens or roosters but formless apparitions that protect people's homes from burglars and trespassers, as Quan mentions in episode 2.
Etymology[]
- In its debut episode, "Wicked Rooster" is referred to as "Ma Gà". However, the ending credits refer to it as "Gà Tinh", while the character concept post on Facebook calls it "Quỷ Kê Tinh". This could be related to how the Wicked Rooster originated the highlands' folklore of "Ma Gà," as revealed in the official Facebook post.
