This article is about a villain group in Choujin Bibyun.The Youkai Army Corps (妖怪軍団, Yōkai Gundan) are a group of evil Youkai ruled by Great Demon King Gulver.
Great Demon King Gulver[]
Great Demon King Gulver (大魔王ガルバー, Dai Maō Garubā): A mysterious ruler behind Geberu and Mezalord, the commanders of the Akuma Clan. After the evil forces of the Akuma Clan were defeated by the Akumaizers 3, he controls the Youkai Army Corps in another attempt to take control of the surface. He usually lurks in the Youkai Castle.
His identity was unknown for a long time, but it later turned out his identity was divided between the Great Demon King (大魔王ガルバー, Dai Maō), who acted as a figurehead for the Youkai, and the true ruler Gulver (ガルバー, Garubā).
Gulver[]
First appeared in episode 26. The true ruler of the Youkai Army Corps. He has the power to freely cause lightning strikes, as well as the ability to emit his the "Gulver Death Ray" from his eyes and grow stretchable tentacles called "Gulver Murder Ropes" from his body to use as weapons. He also has a technique to deflect attacks called "Fireball Return".
Great Demon King[]
First appeared in episode 24. The general of the Youkai Corps and decoy leader for Gulver. He revives the Youkai on the ground and gives orders. I like the soul of a living child. His cloak is full of magical power and can be used powerful techniques, such as the "Demon King Flame" he emits from his wand and the "Great Demon King Hell Pillar" where he drops his cloak and causes a lightning strike.
Youkai Patrol[]
A unit that reports directly to the Great Demon King Gulver, first appearing in the first episode. Its role is to monitor the movements of the three Choujins and the Youkai.
Shindo[]
A youkai wearing a turban and a cloak who serves in the Youkai Patrol alongside Birin. He has a huge body of 3 meters or more and can teleport away with the chant of "Ah, Shindo".
Birin[]
Shindo's companion, a small black pill-shaped youkai. He is much more talkative in contrast to his partner. He can disappear with the shout of "Birinpa". He often rides on Shindo's shoulder.
